Anemomilos Villa

Anemomilos Villa is set among olive groves, 200m from a long sandy beach. It has two large shaded veranda areas, a covered barbecue area, and a large garden. The villa is comfortable, with a large living/dining/kitchen room leading on to the lower veranda. It has been used for many years as a second home (we now live next door much of the summer in a smaller house), and is equipped for 8 people. Two tavernas and a grocery shop are a very short walk away.

Our local beach is 2km long, sandy, with many empty stretches even in high season. Windsurf and sailboat hire is available at our end of the beach, with good modern equipment. Cross shore winds give good sailing.

Finikounda village, just 7 minutes walk, has a supermarket, several shops, cafes, bars, and some 10 tavernas around its picturesque small harbour and neighbouring beach. The village is lively with Greek holidaymakers in July and August. In May, June and September the village is quieter, with many Dutch and German families visiting local campsites. English is widely spoken.

Car hire is possible, and there are three very attractive small coastal towns to visit within 20km, and many more beaches.

Kalamata airport has seasonal flights, and is one hour by road.
