Situated in the tiny hamlet of St Amant de Graves, the original Priory Cottage provides a welcoming escape.

With 2 double bedrooms comprising 1 'fourposter', and 2 3/4 'French' beds plus a mezzanine area equipped with a comfortable double sofa bed it can accommodate 4 to 6 persons (bedlinen provided). The kitchen has all the essentials for a family holiday, large gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A large lounge/dining area has a feature log burner, TV/DVD. Guests have access to a large film library as well as books, games and free WiFi. The typically French bathroom is located on the ground floor comprising of WC, washbasin and large 'wet-room' style shower.

A private terrace opens onto a large sun filled landscaped courtyard with BBQ area, from where the extensive landscaped gardens are accessed. Guests have the use of a shared (with on-site owners),swimming pool complete with large BBQ and dining area under the pergola where meals can be enjoyed alfresco. For those days when shade is needed there is also a wisteria covered raised terrace where you can watch rural France pass you by.

Walks along the river, or into the vineyards surrounding the hamlet are a delight. The nearest bar/bistro is 2km, an easy 20 min stroll, and there are many restaurants within an easy 10 minute drive. The nearest Cognac producer happens to be our Mayor, but this is Cognac country so tastings abound in the area !

Canoe Kayak, horse riding, water-ski are amongst the activities nearby, as is the tennis court and children's playground. Beach lovers can get their fix within an hours drive.

Places to visit include Angouleme and Cognac, both have many interesting events/exhibitions throughout the year.
