Farmhouse accomodation with private pool

Our delightfully restored farmhouse (cortijo) is in the pretty hamlet of Tijola, easily reached along a tarmac lane from the market town of Orgiva. We offer accomodation in three completely self-contained cottages (casitas), all fully equipped to a high standard, with Wi-Fi internet connection now available. The situation allows easy exploration of the surrounding Alpujarras, with Granada and the world famous Alhambra Palace 55 minutes away and the sun drenched beaches of the Costa Tropical only 35 minutes away. For winter visitors a 90 minute drive through stunning scenery will allow you to reach the Sierra Nevada Ski resort.

Tijola is a pretty hamlet of white washed houses and dazzling flowers, with a delightful small restaurant just 200 metres along the lane. Orgiva is 4kms away, where there are supermarkets, banks with ATM's, bars and restaurants. On Thursdays there is a bustling street market. In spring the mountains are a riot of colourful flowers and herbs and their perfume fills the air.

There is wonderful countryside for walking, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, birdwatching and "doing nothing". For golfing enthusiasts there is a new course at Otura, Granada, only 45mins away and also on the coast at Motril. Almunecar hosts a water park to keep the whole family happy. The Alhambra Palace in Granada, with its breathtakingly beautiful gardens, is one of the great wonders of the world.

We, Val and John, the English owners live permanently on site, maintaining the houses and gardens to a very high standard and the pool is cleaned daily. We can speak English, Spanish, German and a little French, so are able to answer any questions and share our local knowledge with you.

We are well established - we welcomed our first guests on 2nd August 1998 (and they keep coming back!). We also have many more guests returning and lots of recommendations.

There are three cortijos - There is a connecting door between La Luna and La Estrella thus giving us the opportunity to offer a very comfortable 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house for larger parties.
