Kermartin Gîte
Kermartin is a well proportioned property all on one level. It has one large living/dining/kitchen space with views on three sides into the garden. We have the flexibility to offer bedrooms with either two single beds or one double bed, together with the usual bedside tables, lamps and wardrobe space. (please select when booking). A cot is available. There is a large bathroom with bath, shower and a separate toilet. A second shower room with hand basin and toilet was added in 2013. There is private parking for three cars.

Kermartin is situated in Central Brittany just under two hours drive from the ports of Roscoff and St. Malo and the airports of Brest and Dinard. It is all on one level so is suitable for the less able. Situated close to the historic town of Gouarec, the house is within 5 minutes walk of local shops,,boulangeries, chemist, banks, post office, bars, restaurants and crazy golf. The new swimming pool in Gouarec is now open and within easy walking distance. The Nantes -Brest canal is just 2 minutes walk away giving leisurely walking and cycling along the towpath. Bicycles and canoes can be hired locally. The house is surrounded by its own, extensive well maintained gardens of more than an acre suitable for sunbathing and dining outside. It has terraces to the south and west affording sunshine most of the day. The famous Lac de Guerledan, the largest lake in Brittany, is only 5 minutes drive away by car where you can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. It has bars and restaurants on its shores and has many safe, sandy beaches with children's play areas. Also close by is the Abbaye de Bon Repos where there is a spectacular sound and light show in August, see the Abbaye de Bon Repos website for dates and further details. The towns of Pontivy and Quintin are close by and both have good a street market (Pontivy Monday and Quintin Tuesday) and a chateau open to the public in high season.
Central Brittany is a magnificent area with mountains and valleys, rivers and beaches to explore at leisure and there are numerous clearly marked footpaths to follow. Ideal for those holiday makers who enjoy the outdoor life.
