The sandy beaches of the mar menor with its shallow waters are ideal for families and offer many water sports, promenades, restaurants, markets, cycling, go karting etc and now the new shopping centre at "la Zenia" and much more. Whilst the Calblanch National park has totally unspoilt beaches (take a picnic) but superb scenery, horse riding and walking trails.

Murcia city is a fifteen minute drive and famous for its "tapas" beautiful Cathedral and historic old city. There is a huge choice of dining in the area including a top class Michelin star restaurant. There are two modern shopping centres nearby and the Aqua Natura Wildlife reserve with has shows, restaurant and a water park with slides, lazy river etc all in an African setting.

Cartagena is a port city with a beautiful historic town, small shops, outdoor cafes and restaurants overlooking the marina, a roman amphitheatre to visit, naval museum. bus and boat tours are available from the port. Cartagena is open until late and makes for a great day out.
