Holiday House in La Maison des Cloches, Languedoc Roussillon, France
The house is located at the top of the beautiful, unspoilt, ancient hill-top village of Roquebrun, in the Languedoc Roussillon region of the South of France.
The view of the mountainside, from the terrace, will take your breath away, it looks as if it's been lifted straight from a toy railway set. And you will never tire of staring at it and watching the many birds, including eagles and other birds of prey, that call it home.
This beautiful view can be enjoyed over breakfast every morning. But it is only one of many reasons for coming to stay.
The house sleeps six, with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. It is extremely comfortable, whilst not being fussy, and it has been described by guests as "truly a home from home."
Even though situated in the heart of the ancient village, beneath the medieval Baron's tower and the Mediterranean Gardens, the house is accessible by car, with a small parking space nearby.
The main entrance door leads through a vestibule into the Front Room, which is well furnished, and contains a dining area. Behind lies a tiled corridor (keeps the house cool during the hottest months) that takes you past the kitchen and stairs and onto the terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of work surfaces.
The Main Double Bedroom is at the back of the house. It has plenty of storage, as do the Second Double Bedroom and Twin Room, both of which lie at the front of the house. All bedding and towels et cetera is supplied.
The bathroom has bath/shower option and toilet (there's a second toilet downstairs) with a second shower room and washing machine.
