Message  Thanks to Megan & Bob for a lovely place to stay.It is so central to lot of places of interest. You have created a lovely holiday home and the little details you have incorporated really adds to the experience- the pinny for the kitchen, the welcome supplies on arrival, lovely soft towels and the best hairdyer in the world – no need for straightners. So a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we will definitely be recommending this place to friends & family.

Message  We have just spent a lovely 2 weeks here with our lively year old retriever. The gite is a delight- spacious, fully and beautifully equipped. It provided a haven of coolness when the heat & humidity outside became too much. The enclosed garden & decking was ideal fro biscuit the dog. Having Megan on hand was a great boon. She told us ofwalks, places to eat and visit and nothing was too much trouble for her. The piece de resistance though was the meal she had ready for us on our very late traffic delayed arrival. It was so welcome and absolutely superb. We loved the area – the gentle countryside, the beautiful villages and the river Dordogne along with the markets and friendship of all the French people we met. All in all it’s been a super holiday- Thank you Megan

Message  Great accommodation, well fitted out- good touches with free wi-fi, i-pad docking & freeview TV. Loads to do – great welcome. The welcome pack with wine and home made cake show that this is more than just a business – this is people who care that we have a good welcome / holiday. We will recommend to others.

Message  Superb home made lemon drizzle cake along with a surprise welcome pack greeted our arrival which was much needed and appreciated after a long journey. We could not ask for more from our host who is extremely helpful and kind.We loved our stay here and the peaceful rural setting suited us well. The photos of the barn before / during renovation were lovely to see. This is a very comfy place to stay and is so well stocked especially the kitchen – more here than mine at home!! We really hope you are successful with the gite and hope to return again in future.

Message  The house, the decoration and the equipment provided is just right. Quiet and peaceful and when we arrived we were welcomed by our pre-booked 3 course meal + wine which was extremely welcome after driving down from Brittany. The food was delicious and an unexpected bonus was the lovely welcome pack provided by Megan who is so hospitable and welcoming without being in any way intrusive. She has put her special touches to this wonderful gite. I shall be highly recommending this place.

Message  Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is really comfortable and has way more equipment than our house back in the UK.Having access to some good old british tv in the evenings after a long day sightseeing was definitely a bonus. The local area is great for all kinds of outdoor activities. We did plenty of canoeing, cycling and visiting beautiful picturesque towns like Sarlat. The wi-fi was also reliable for keeping in touch with people. All in all a brilliant holiday where our hosts have taken great care of us. Thank you.

¡Unas vacaciones geniales!

We stayed at this lovely home from home in early July and were so pleased we chose it. Every little detail has been carefully considered from the equipment in the kitchen to the super powerful hairdryer. There was a lovely welcome pack including wine, milk and home made preserve and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We even came 'home' on the second day to find a home baked cake awaiting us - delicious with the blueberry compote that came with it. Although there was only two of us, the lounge and kitchen diner could easily accommodate the 8 people that there is bed space for and without feeling overcrowded I would think. The barn has a shared garden, although we never used it as there is also a private decked area with table and chairs which is perfectly positioned to catch the evening sun with a cool beer after a day's sightseeing - it was still 28 degrees and only just losing the sun at 9 o'clock at night after all! The barn is positioned about 8 miles from Gourdon which has several reasonably large supermarkets and is centrally located for all the major tourist towns - I would highly recommend trips to the beautiful Domme, Rocamador and the market at Sarlat. St Circ la Popie is a little further away but the most beautiful place I have seen in a very long time - not for the infirm, as its on the side of a hill, but so worth the drive to get there if you are able bodied. I cannot recommend the barn enough as a perfect base for exploring the dordogne and they even allow your four legged friend (s) to join you subject to a small charge and some very reasonable rules. Well done Bob, it might have 'tuck-sum-duin' but it was well worth it!!

Message  We had a fantastic holiday here for 12 days. Our friendly hosts greeted us with a wonderful welcome 3 course meal on arrival,(pre booked) well worth it after a long drive. It was a clean and spacious property. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the internet (wi fi) and Sky TV, Dvd kept our son and daughter very happy. It was such a peaceful setting to come back to at the end of each day. Lots to do in the local area picnics, swimming in local lakes, medieval villages and pre historic caves to explore. Plenty of places to eat out in Gourdon and Salrlat. Ideally located for both the Lot and Dordogne rivers. It was helpful to have a sat nav so we could explore all the country roads. Loved the property and the area. We would definitely stay here again.
