Date  12-03-2014 Rating  Name  Mark Message  As a family of 5 we were looking to rent a villa in Benalmadena for one week in May 2013 as a close friend had invited us to her wedding. If you have any concerns about booking this villa then be assured that you have nothing to worry about here. I could ramble on about the beautiful mountain views, spacious accomodation, incredible restaurants, but on reading the other reviews I feel the positive comments speak for themselves. If you have shortlisted this villa for your holiday then take my advise and book it. You won't be dissappointed. This was our first booking outside of the normal travel agent routine and I would go again without question. The owner Colette is more than helpful and a true star. Date  04-09-2013 Rating  Name  David Hopkins Message  We had an absolutely amazing holiday in this Villa. The villa was of a very high standard and extremely welcoming. We found the complex very peaceful and the people very friendly. Colette was very helpful and gave us lots of useful information e.g. where to eat and where the villa was located. She also got a highchair for my 1 year old granddaughter which made all the difference and which we are very grateful. The swimming pool was lovely and sometime we were the only ones in there and there was plenty of room and sun beds available. Also we were met by Nancy at the villa who was very friendly and extremely helpful. All in all this is an stunning place to stay and we really didnt want to leave. We would definitely return and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone. Date  13-04-2013 Rating  Name  Padley Message  We really enjoyed our stay in the villa. The "Sky" TV package with kids programmes was most useful. We liked the situation of the villa and it relative quiet location. Despite the quiet location, and not having a car, we got around using the bus service which was excellent and always on time. Eating out was great value, and we did not have a bad meal anywhere. Date  13-10-2012 Rating  Name  Matthew Humphrey Message  A perfect villa, and highly recommended "My wife and I" have just returned from a week here, and we found it to be perfect in every way.  Firstly the location could not be better, just a 15 to 20 minute drive from Malaga airport using the motorway from Malaga to Marbella. Even though the villa is only about a 3 minute drive from the motorway, it is completely quiet and tranquil. Mijas, which is a very pretty village, is only 5 minutes away. Fuengirola which has a good beach is 10 minutes away. Marbella and Puerto Banus which both have an attractive seafront and marina are a 20 to 25 minute drive away. The Marbella La Canada shopping mall, which has shops such as Zara, H&M, Hollister, M&S, etc. and a massive supermarket attached is also well worth a visit in the evening. Collette (the owner) had been kind enough to provide very detailed directions on finding the villa, and local places to visit and more importantly enjoy a meal! We went to three of the restaurants recommended in Mijas, and all of them offered some of the best food we have ever eaten, without breaking the bank. The villa is located in a very well maintained gated community, and the villa itself is situated on a terrace overlooking the rest of the community, with spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline. The views from the living room, the master bedroom and the rooftop terrace are all awesome. The villa is really well equipped, and has obviously been well looked after. There was nothing we found we needed which was not already provided. The Air conditioning was great to have, as was Sky Tv which meant we still managed to see Europe win the Ryder Cup! While only two of us stayed here, the villa would quite easily accomodate a family as there is plenty of space. The communal swimming pool and gardens were a great added bonus. The pool was always quiet, and there were sunloungers for us to make use of. We enjoyed a dip in the pool and some late afternoon sunshine on a couple of occasions during our stay. Overall I would highly recommend this villa. The surrounding area is beautiful, there is lots to see and do, the local people were all friendly, and most importantly the villa was perfect. Date  14-08-2012 Rating  Name  The King Family Message  We stayed 11 nights in this lovely villa,which was easy to find,just off the motorway on the road to Mijas. Colette the owner provided a good service prior to arrival with excellent information. On arrival we were met by a neighbour Nancy, who had bought a welcome pack, which we had ordered in advance. She is very helpful and knows the area well. The villa is clean, spacious and well designed.There are 3 good sized bedrooms. We were 4 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough room for us to not feel on top of each other. The villa is safe for young children. The only thing to watch is the spiral stairs to the roof terrace, but we didn't allow them up there anyway. By the way it is very nice up there and excellent for sunbathing, if not a little hot. The pool is nearby and not too busy. There is a nice garden area near the pool and it is again very safe. The villa itself has a lovely little side garden, with a barbecue, which we used often. Local people were friendly and the complex seemed to have a nice community feel with everyone looking out for everyone else. I would definitely hire a car in the summer for shopping and getting around, but there is a bus. However when we were there it reached 40C so waiting for a bus might be hard work!! The descriptions of the villa were accurate and it had pretty much everything you could need. The kitchen has a microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster etc and as such has everything needed. The views are spectacular and make for nice evening viewing, with a glass of wine in hand. I would recommend this villa to anyone of all ages. It was quiet in the evenings and no traffic noise, meaning it is very tranquil. A definite return for us. Thanks to Colette for making our stay a nice one. Date  12-08-2012 Rating  Name  Kim Message  Our family of 6 recently returned from a wonderful holiday in this house near Mijas. The house was very spacious, well equipped and had to most beautiful views from the balconies and sun roof. The pool and surroundings were lovely and clean, and well looked after; it was never overcrowded. A very friendly atmosphere, and we were well looked after too. We decided not to hire a car but in hindsight perhaps should have. The buses, which ran nearby, were regular but didn't run very late - cabs were more expensive when there's 6 of you and you need two. Mijas is a lovely quaint Spanish town and was only a short ride away - many restaurants with roof top tables overlooking the landscape down to the sea. All in all a fantastic holiday which we all found very sad to end. There's always next year!!! Date  16-07-2012 Rating  Name  Ed Potter Message  A perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday. The property is immaculate and in a fantastic location. There is everything at hand to support a first class family holiday. It's position on a hillside in a quiet gated community is aptly named 'Buena Vista'. The balconies and rooftop terrace have fabulous views of both mountains and coast. Mijas is a gem of a hill town with marvellous eating places and bags of interest. For the more strenuous there super walking opportunities in the hills behind the villa. The well maintained community pool is set beside gorgeous gardens, again with wonderful views. Colette, the owner, makes the booking process simple and is a mine of useful information. A near neighbour to the villa is Nancy, a warm hearted ex-pat who is on hand to fine tune your holiday if you require. She will do the airport run, offers a taxi service at excellent rates and will support all your holiday requirements. Date  26-06-2012 Rating  Name  Ian Thorburn Message  Four of us stayed at the villa and have nothing but positive feedback to provide. The villa was very well proportioned, clean and in an absolutely fantastic location. Nestled on the side of a hill overlooking the mountains and the sea. These views can be enjoyed on 3 different levels - 2 balconies and the rooftop terrace. Though a car is recommended, you can get around using the local bus service (every 15 mins from just outside the complex) or lady who lives local and is a great font of knowledge and has a mini bus and is very flexible. The local area spoils you for meals, tapas, bars (both busy and quiet) and the apartment provides a great place to relax and recharge. We were there for 10 days and even though the pool is a shared one, we were the only ones to use it for the first 5 days of the holiday. The most (including us) who used the pool at any one time was 8 and that was only on 1 of the days! Great walks are on your doorstep. These are suitable for all ages. I ventured quite high into the hills behind the villa and had some fabulous hiking and at times it was quite strenuous. Other paths are much more sedate and easy going. All of which had stunning views over the countryside and coastal areas. The rooms in the villa are all large and air-conditioned. The decor is both tasteful and welcoming. We spent many an hour sat on the balconies but did also spent time inside (if only to cool down!). The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. The bedrooms were all generously sized and the beds were very comfortable! All in all, a great holiday location and we will be returning. Oh - Colette is also very friendly and helpful!
