Penthouse apartment in Duquesa, Costa del Sol, Spain

This penthouse apartment with lift access is located in an attractive gated complex with a large pool and tropical gardens. Wonderful views of Duquesa golf course, sea and mountains make it an ideal location to enjoy a relaxing holiday or to explore the Costa del Sol.

The attractive port is approx 20 minutes walk or a 2 min drive and has a good range of bars, restaurants and includes an English supermarket. A new shopping complex with two supermarkets, bar and restaurants is within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Miles of long sandy beaches (blue flag) stretch either side of Duquesa Port with nearest beach access 10 minutes walk away. The apartment has two balconies and a very large private solarium with sun loungers, table/chairs and comfortable setees.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Master bedroom has twin beds, large wardrobe, bedside cabinets and en-suite bathroom and access to balcony.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a large wardrobe, bedside cabinets and its own private balcony with a view of the swimming pool.
Bathrooms: En-suite has full size bath, shower, toilet, bidet, wash hand basin and window with golf views.
Family bathroom has similar accommodation.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with everything required. It has ceramic hob with 4 rings, double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, breakfast table with two stools and ironing facilities.
Living Rooms: The bright spacious living area has two comfortable leather settees and dining table with four chairs. A 42" flatscreen TV with Sky satellite reception and Spanish TV. A stereo system with iPod cable, CD player and radio is included. Wifi broadband modem.



Notes on accommodation
The apartment has air conditioning with both cold and hot settings. Smoking is allowed on the balconies only, please. Apartment is on one level, although the upper solarium is accessed by spiral staircase. There is secure parking in the gated car park.

Accessibility
There is lift access to the the apartment.

Outside
There is a balcony adjoining the living room and master bedroom with a dining table and four chairs. This balcony has attractive planting. A spiral staircase links this balcony to the upper solarium which has a large dining table and four chairs, two sun loungers, a two-seat settee and two single seat settees with coffee tables etc. and a number plants/cactii, orange trees, olive tree and an Italian cypress. There is always some sun on the the upper solarium. The large swimming pool has lifeguard supervision.

Coast/Beach
It is a short walk down hill to the beautiful beaches that are left and right of the port of Duquesa. They have beach bars and also children's play areas. In the town of Sabinillas just a short walk from the port there is a lovely children's play area and also an adults keep-fit equipment area. The same facilities are in the village of Castillo which is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Sotogrande Golf Club - Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this is ranked amongst the top ten courses in Europe (15 mins).

Estepona Golf Club - Designed by Jose Luis Lopez Martinez, the course has short narrow fairways with extremely dangerous roughs. (15 mins).

Alcaidesa Links Golf Club - Designed by Peter Allis and Clive Clark, this course is considered to be the first authentic 'links' type course in Spain. (15 mins).

Alhaurin Golf & Country Club - Designed by Seve Ballasteros, this rugged terrain and breathtaking course to play and a challenging game with its fairways, bunkers and lakes (30 mins).

Valderrama Golf Club - Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this is perhaps the most famous golf course in Europe and is designed for players with a reasonable to high level of play (20 mins).

Travel
Car hire is advised. We would recommend to hire a car as there is so much to see in this area. There are 3 airports you can use:

- Gibraltar Airport, 25 mins drive (taxi approx 35 to 40 euros).

- Malaga Airport 50-60 mins drive (taxi approx 80 to 90 euros).

- Jerez Airport 80 mins drive (taxi approx 120 euros).

There is good public transport and taxi service available into Estepona, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Gibraltar etc.

Further Details
Short stroll to Duquesa marina, Castillo and Sabinillas with their many restaurants, beaches and bars. Ideally placed to explore the unspoilt Andalucian white villages of Casares, Gaucin, Benhavis and Ronda.

There are many local supermarkets. The port has many restaurants and bars. There is a local market on Fridays in Sabinillas and a large Sunday market. You can take boat trips from the marina, visit Selwo Aventura, Tivoli world, Fuengirola Zoo, there is also a water park not to far away.
