Lounge with TV and video with French doors open to hedged garden with BBQ terrace, with fine views over town, river and sea beyond. Ideal for outdoor wining and dining. Balcony off main bedroom and further large terrace off landing. Steps down from parking area. Not suitable for those with mobility problems or toddlers. Use of pool at hotel close to estate entrance.

Most visitors head for the more (over) developed Western Algarve. Tavira remains pleasantly unspoilt and still very Portuguese, with lots of very reasonable restaurants serving wide variety of goodies, especially seafood. Little alleyways open out onto numerous squares and there is a thriving daily fish fruit and vegetable market as well as several good supermarkets to get produce you would be used to finding at home. Beach is reached by a short drive to either shuttle boat to 30 mile golden sandbar, or delightful for children is a little train that travels over sand dunes. Seville is only 2 hours drive away along a very good road, well worth a visit for the air of romance, with no delays at the border crossing into Spain. Car is not essential, as there are taxis in the town, but it is advisable to get around easily. The estate is on a hilltop, so lovely views over orange and olive groves inland and benefiting from any sea breezes in the summer months. Three golf courses within 30 minutes drive.
